As an Amazon Associate, Gear Kidz earns from qualifying purchases. When you click an Amazon link on this site and buy something, we may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you.
Editorial independence
Commissions never decide our recommendations. We pick products on merit — the qualities a US parent of a 1–12-year-old actually cares about: durability, safety, age-appropriateness, value, and whether the product earns its place.
How we research and recommend
We did not test these products in-house. Our articles synthesize publicly available reviews from YouTube creators and other sources we cite at the bottom of every article. We paraphrase and synthesize rather than copy. Always verify safety, age recommendations, and current pricing on Amazon before buying.
Safety and age claims
We surface manufacturer age recommendations, choking-hazard warnings, and relevant US safety standards (ASTM, CPSC) where applicable. We are not a substitute for parental judgment.
Privacy and analytics
Gear Kidz uses Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — used to understand which guides are actually helping readers (page views, time on page, which links get clicked). GA4 sets first-party cookies and collects anonymized usage data; it does not capture your name, email, or any information you didn't enter into the site.
We do not sell or share reader data with third parties beyond the analytics provider above, and we do not run third-party ad networks on the site. The only outbound tracking happens when you click an Amazon affiliate link — at that point you're on Amazon, and Amazon's privacy notice applies.
If you'd rather not be measured, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, enable your browser's "Do Not Track" / tracking-protection setting, or block cookies for this site in your browser settings. None of these will change what content you can read here.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what we collect and to request deletion. Since we don't collect or store personal identifiers ourselves (only GA4's anonymized analytics), there's typically nothing on our end to delete — but you can email us via the contact link below and we'll confirm.
